Workshop on Crypto for the Cloud & Implementation

15-16 June 2017, Paris (France)

Organized by  ENS Logo

Abstract: The tremendous proliferation seen in recent years ofportable devices, such as smart phones, coupled with the pervasive availability of inexpensive high-capacitynetworks and the need to access personal and work information fromanywhere, has made Cloud computinga reality. Nowadays, the Cloud computing model for delivering computing services provides users with amultitude of services from various providers, varying from basic storage to more advanced onessuch assoftware-as-a-service, through which a user can have access to software in the Cloud. Companies, likewise, can take advantage of these services by outsourcing their operations to the Cloud as a way to reduce costsand increaseproductivity. In this workshop, we will consider recent advances in the theory and practice of cryptographic tools for the Cloud. In addition, this workshop will provide WP3 researchers (Implementation) with input about the new schemes underdevelopment in WP2 (Cloud cryptography) and WP2 researchers with informationabout cryptosystemcharacteristics that should be optimized from an implementation point of view.
