The Symmetric Techniques and Asymmetric Techniques Virtual Laboratories are pleased to announce a joint summer school in cryptanalysis. Covering both symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, this summer school will provide a thorough overview of the most important cryptanalytic techniques in use today. While the summer school is aimed primarily at postgraduate students, attendance is open to all.
The ECRYPT cryptanalysis summer school will take place from 9:00am May 9, 2005 until 5:00pm May 13, 2005. All lectures will be held in the Dorissa Bay Hotel.
On Monday and Tuesday the focus will be on symmetric key cryptanalysis. Thursday and Friday will be dedicated to public key cryptanalysis with Wednesday morning covering topics of shared interest. Wednesday afternoon will be a free afternoon with no lectures, and the summer school banquet will take place on Thursday evening.
A limited number of stipends will be available for non-ECRYPT students. Please let us know before April 9th if you are interested, by sending a mail to all people under contact.
